Two chances to own a master print of A CO Railfan’s Dream

Last January, I made two “master prints” of A CO Railfan’s Dream, my film-meets-digital collage of the Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson Railroad crossing over the Sacandaga River.

These 11×17 framed prints were originally designated for a future competition or gallery show.

But I’m not 100% sure they fit in those shows. At least not yet.

So I made a personal decision.

Someone needs to benefit from these photos.

So last week, I donated one photo to an upcoming “Relay For Life” cancer awareness fundraiser, which will take place on April 11 at the American Legion hall in my neighborhood.

Earlier that week, I donated the other photo to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, and that print will be auctioned off at their spring gala. So the person who purchases that print will, by extension, help purchase some dog food or kitty litter or some other animal necessity.

I’m okay with this. In fact, I’d better be okay with this, I’m the person in charge of my artwork.

Look, it’s one thing where I can sell a master print of one of my pieces and make a few dollars for my troubles.

But there’s another part of me who feels that I only get one spin upon this planet, and during my time, I should at least offer kindness and comfort whenever possible.

So I’ve done that.

This doesn’t mean that A CO Railfan’s Dream has been ignored this summer, however.

I’m trying to find a way to enter it in every single one of the upcoming chances for Competition Season 2026.

And maybe a couple that I hadn’t previously considered. You don’t know. 😀

In other words … this artwork deserves some shine.

And allow me to add the polish and the wipes.
